- Add a second receptacle tube that allows the canopy to be locked in a partially-open position for taxi
- Glass over the factory air vent scoops
- Add a way to hold the canopy open, ideally so that it can't slam shut in the wind. Ideas:
- Rod system, similar to a car hood prop.
- Difficult to operate if it's behind the pilot, not sure where attach it at the front
- Latch it on the right side rail when the canopy is closed?
- Strong cord or cable plus a calibrated weak link
- Construct the weak link out of fishing line with a known test weight, using as many lengths as necessary to achieve the desired breaking force, and cover with shrink tubing. (Test to ensure that it breaks at the design weight!)
- Add an elastic cord to pull the cord/cable into the cockpit when closing the canopy
- Latching scissor link
